Our neighborhood had a fun bbq to celebrate the 24th of July, Pioneer Day. They blocked off the street and everyone sat around eating and chatting. It totally reminded me of the Sandlot. All we needed was to start playing baseball under the fireworks.
(Each family was to bring one big firework so at the end of the night we could have a really good fireworks show and it did not disappoint.)
