Nashville Splash Pad

This place was so much fun for me!  All I did was sit and watch but just seeing the sheer joy and excitement on the boys faces made this outing even better.  I love watching them have a good time!

The boys have finally reached an age where both enjoy splashing and being splashed.  Its a very nice break from refereeing for me.

The Parthenon

In Nashville not in Greece.  Really just a nice big park to hang out in.

Carter was being a stinker the whole time unfortunately. 

Short & Sweet

It may have only been one day in Denver but it sure was fun to get all the Pope Family Adults together to celebrate this cute couple's 40 years together.

It started with a little lunch...

...followed by the bowling alley...

 ...then off to a delicious Brazilian dinner.

But the best part was all the laughing and chatting that happened along the way.

I love these pictures of AJ & Randal.  They are telling us all about how they met and fell in love.  You can totally tell they still are!

Nashville Zoo

Not the best zoo we've been to, a bit too much walking and not enough big animals but the boys had a good time.  I think the best part about it was the endless slushies we got throughout the visit.  Just a few pics from the day.

Steeple Chase Races

One of the many reasons I love what Caleb does is the chance to explore new cities each summer.  This year in Nashville we got to witness the Steeple Chase races.  Once a year everyone dresses up to the nines (would have been nice to know as I wore jean capris and a t-shirt :-) and heads to the races.  The boys were very excited when the horses came around to jump the fence however there was a little too much time in between races to keep a 5, 3, and a 2 year old occupied.  We ended up leaving after 4 races but we were super happy to have had the experience.

Had to take some pictures of the clothes.  I loved seeing 99% of the people dressed like this.  Felt like I was back in the days of the old south.

And the hats!  Loved them! 

Hoping to fit as many things in as we can before we leave.  This one will be hard to beat!

Angry Birds

Coop decided this year that he wanted Angry Bird cupcakes for his birthday.  They were definitely one of the more simpler cakes I've made and I was super grateful for that!

I then decided to go one step further and surprise Coop with a real live angry birds game. 

He was super surprised and absolutely LOVED it (as did all 16 other cousins).  After his turn was over, he came over to me and said, "Mom, I LOVE this.  Thank you so much for making it for me!" and then gave me the sweetest hug.  Yep, I would call it a success!
