Hee Haw Farms: Baby Animals

This is such a fun little place.  We went last year and had such a great time that we decided to go again this year.  There are so many cute baby animals and everything is hands on.  The kids absolutely love it.  I'm pretty sure it will become a yearly tradition.

Anytime we brought a baby animal close to Claire she would start giggling hysterically.  It didn't matter if it was a duck or a bunny but her arms would start swinging up and down out of pure excitement.  But as soon as we moved it away, the waterworks started and she would cry until we brought it back.  A bit of an animal lover I think. 

Little Grant just wanted to hug the little guys.

Coop fed a goat...and then some more.

Carter did too...but was not a big fan.  He didn't like the yucky stuff on his hands afterwards.  I'm with ya there Carter!

And the grand finale and most favorite part of the whole day...

the corn pit.   

The kids spent over half the time in this pit.  Who knew corn could be so much fun!?  They were burying each other, making big bellies by filling their shirts, and canon balling into it.  It was awesome!

Even Claire got into it.  We had to keep the binky in for most of the time to keep the corn out but she loved it.

We will for sure be going again next year!

Cooper

Cooper is a very sweet kid.  He has a soft heart and is concerned with what others think.  He is soaring through school with no problem.  He is the top reader in his class and just a smart kid all around.  He is OBSESSED with the ipad game Plants vs. Zombies.  He tries to get all his chores, reading, & homework done before school so he can come straight home and play it.  When it comes to Claire he is like a moth to a flame.  He can't get enough of her and vice versa.  His best friend is Carter and for the most part they play really well together.  He is loving soccer and scoring lots of goals.  I think I get just as excited to watch his games and he does to play them.  He loves swimming and riding his bike.  He is overall a great kid and we love him to pieces.

Carter

This kid is a spit fire!  He can be super happy one second and the next he's lost it.  He surprises us with his large vocabulary ("Mom, I disagree with you." "Cooper, I defeated your player.")  He is super picky at the dinner table yet after force feeding him one bite, he'll usually say, "I was just kidding Mom, I do like it!"  Everybody loves his hair, especially Mommy.  He always asks for us to wait for him when getting out of the car or going upstairs because he HATES being by himself. He is obsessed with Plants vs Zombies (ipad game) and talks about nothing else.  He loves squinkies and loves pretend play.  He's a lefty.  He writes his letters exceptionally well.  He can write his name perfectly and recognizes all our names when he sees them written on other things (i.e. mail, movie credits, etc).  He loves to listen to Cooper read for his homework.  He is a great big brother and always helps with Claire.  He puts a spice in our lives that we couldn't live without.

Claire 9 Months

-Claps her hands

-Says Da-Da

-Reaches for Mommy & Daddy when we are near

-Says night-night by putting her hand by her ear

- Still loves to play with her tongue

-Does not crawl but will rock on her hands and knees

-Loves to sit

-Gets super excited when she sees Daddy after he gets home from work.

-Very chunky (wearing 12-18 month clothes)

-Content to just sit and play as long as others are in the room with her

-Super happy baby
