Northstar Cruise

Every year, Caleb's company goes on a cruise and those sales reps that hit the allotted goal get to go.  This year we met some great new friends and spent a lot of time talking, laughing, eating and just enjoying each other's company.  Of the whole cruise, that was my favorite part.  But we did some other cool stuff too ;-)

First night on the cruise out on the deck
(hence the hair blowing everywhere)
Get ready for a bunch of pictures of just us.  This is probably the most you'll ever see of us on our blog since there were no kids to speak of ;-)

Hanging at the karaoke

2nd Day- Key West
Catamaran and snorkel
The fish were not that exciting, but the water was enjoyable and the catamaran was fun!
(No laughing at our white bodies!  We were in Seattle all summer for goodness sake!)

Dressy Night
(I'd like to add that I forgot a hairbrush and my straightener so my hair was done by hand every day!)

Every year I think these are so cute.

My favorite night of the cruise, Halloween!
I just love how into it we all are.  Makes it so much fun!
Pinata & Tootsie Roll.................Little Red Riding Hood & The Big Bad Wolf
Kelly & Zack from Saved by the bell............Wilma & skinny Fred Flinstone
And there were the escaped convicts too that I never snapped a picture of but can be seen below.
Red & the Wolf won it this year.  It was well deserved considering he spent a good 2 hours gluing his face on and could only slurp soup at dinner.  HA!

3rd Day
Cozumel, Mexico
Just before getting off the boat.  The water is so blue!

A little shopping in the town square

And the main event, the Ruins of Tulum
Coolness!  Just wish we would have had time to swim there!!!

Chillaxin' on the boat, just waiting to arrive in Florida!

I seriously wish we would have documented our nightly dinner & after dinner parties but no pictures were ever taken...sad since that was my favorite part!  I guess we'll just have to remember our cameras next year and do it all over again!

A Daddy and Coop Trip

Coop and Daddy took a very special trip, just the 2 of them shortly after we got back from Seattle.  They headed down to New Mexico to see Great Grandma Alby, Aunt Gretchen & Uncle Kip. I think they had a good time...I know Carter and I did while they were gone :-)

Very artistic picture taken by Caleb.

I think Coop was born to be a photographer, he took this one.

Pumpkins

Yes we carved pumpkins...well, pumpkin.  Just hours before we left on our cruise we fit it in.

ewwww

Coop wanted a scary Frankenstein face...we tried.

Turtle Power

So the original plan was for all of us to be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but after making the boys' turtle shells and it taking 3 full days, I nixed the idea for us.  I still think it would be an awesome idea but I ran out of steam.  I'm regretting it now, should have just buckled down and done it, dang it!
At least the boys looked dang cute, right?!

Here's Rafael
(This is about the only time he kept that mask on)

Leonardo in action!
(Best picture I have since he always felt the urge to fight when he had it on)

Side and back view so you can really appreciate it :-)

Now, what to be next year?

Its still Halloween right?!

It was a bit crazy this year around Halloween time and even more crazy the few weeks after so I am just now getting to posting Halloween activities.  I have so much to post about but have been super busy with photoshoots, editing, house projects, landscaping, and kids...I'm sure you all know how it goes.

Let's start with the Halloween party.  I was pretty upset when I found out Caleb's company cruise was over Halloween day, almost to the point of not wanting to go.  Caleb quickly changed my mind but I was still annoyed that I'd be missing all the door to door trick-or-treating, my boys in their turtle costumes, other little kids in their cute costumes, the candy, everything!  So to make up for being gone I decided to host my very own Halloween party.  I only invited 3 families (brother, sister, & sister-in-law) but that produced 16 kids.  It was crazy fun!  It brought me back to my teaching days when we'd have our class party with 30 kids.
 I loved it!

Gotta show off the food we had cuz we all know how much I LOVE food!
(My sister made the cute withes' hats and spidey cookies)

1st Game- Wrap the Mummy

 Hanging Donut
(I LOVE the picture of Carter trying to do it!)

Don't Eat Frank
Scared the heck out of some of the kids :-)

Costumes
My favorite part of Halloween!

Dance Party to end

Happy Halloween!  Can't wait till next year!!!
