4 Years Old

My sweet boy is 4!  I love this little man to pieces.
I love his kindness towards his baby brother.  I love his good morning hugs.  I love his smiling eyes.  I love his giggle when I tickle his sides.  I love that he says "flee" for the number 3.  I love his helpfulness and how he wants to make me happy.  I love when he gets excited about things.  I love that his favorite thing to do is play with me or his brother or his daddy.  I love that he loves to learn.  I love his raised voice of concern towards Carter when he is sad.  I love everything about him!

Then of course you can't forget the little brother!

Anything and everything turns into a sword.

At the end of the shoot, I finally let them open up their big suckers and dig in.

Happy Birthday Big Boy!
Some things about Cooper

-He likes people to notice how he is dressed.
-He is not shy, at all!
-He prefers to order his meals himself.
-He loves playing with his cousins.
-He is reading short books and knows how to write all his letters.
-He does not like to play alone therefore he's always asking if he can wake Carter up from his nap.

-He loves library time when he gets to go to his own class.
-He loves primary and his sunbeam class and is always so excited to tell me about it after church.

A Monstrous Birthday!

Coop wanted Mike Wazowski for his birthday cake this year.

 Birthday Boy and Little Brother
As soon as all his cousins got here, he shouted, "Ok everyone, sing happy birthday to me!"
We played 2 of Coop's favorite games with all his cousins, Don't Eat Frank & Hot and Cold.

It was hidden in Sitota's shirt for Hot& Cold.  Coop thought it was pretty funny!

We opened some presents.  He got some soccer cleats, shinguards, helmet, galoshes, and his first big boy bike!

Had some cake & blew out some candles.

Then after everyone left, we went and took his new bike for a spin around the neighborhood.
He did awesome!

And of course Carter wanted to get in on the action.  He doesn't quite know how to do it himself so he likes when Daddy pushes him.

It really was a great day!  We LOVE being able to share these days with our family!

Dying Eggs

The boys had a blast dying eggs.  They wanted to help with every step.
Carter especially loved wearing one of my BYU shirts ;-)  He kept pointing at it and saying "BYU Football!"

Easter Sunday, coming down the stairs to search for their Easter Baskets.

Carter would not stop eating his candy.  He looked like a chipmunk storing up for the winter the way he stuffed those jelly beans in!

Coop playing with Daddy and his new toy.

My Easter present (already used it a couple times for Easter dinner) and Caleb grilling up our Easter dinner.

Mindy & Josh came over with their kids for dinner and a chilly Easter egg hunt.
(Yes, we shop at the same stores :-)

On your marks, get set...

GO!

My sister's family

Our Family

Also on Sunday night, we went to Bret & Kathleen's to open our gifts from Grandma & Grandpa Gundersen.  All the kids in their new swimsuits and robes.  They all played outside in these for a good hour in the 40 degree weather.  Brrrrrrrr!

Happy Easter!
