Carter's Birthday

I decided to do a video of Carter's birthday this year instead of pictures.  But I ultimately failed when I reverted to camera style during the cake and candle blowing celebration instead of video...dang it!  Oh well, we got some good stuff.  This kid is fantastic!  So much personality in his little body.  Sometimes he just cant handle all of it.
I made this video to the Party Rockin song because it is his absolute favorite.

And here are some Carter-isms.  I could write them down but its so much better when you can hear him say it in his little voice.  And the end is a prime example of how when he gets excited, its hard for him to contain himself. :-)  I LOVE this kid!

We also took Carter to a monster truck rally for his birthday.  It was SUPER loud but they boys had a great time!

No way!  Really?!  

Believe it or not he actually is 31.

We had a good old fashioned birthday celebration with family.  And of course...

...an Alta Cake.

He opened some presents.

The first one was a joke.

 He's a bit of a hunt and pecker typer and now that he works at Adobe I figured this would help him get his skills up.

The second one was not a joke...although I'm still surprised I even gave it to him.

This little paper will be redeemed in March as we trek to Moab so he can cross off one of the things on his bucket list...sky-diving.  

(Food for thought: If anything horrific should happen, would I still get the life insurance money once they found out I gave it to him as a gift? ;-)

And of course a little of Claire trying out her first Cherry Cheesecake.  She didn't quite know what to do with it at first, just let it sit there on her upper lip.  

Then she got a taste on that tongue and she was hooked.

Carter of course chose the same date as Coop (go figure) so we headed to Menchie's for some one on one time. We had a grand old time eating ice cream, playing pictionary, and taking silly pictures of ourselves.
