Night Sledding Anyone?

We took the boys night sledding for fhe this week.
The snow lit things enough that we had no trouble seeing and the boys had a blast!

Caleb's big 3-0, complete with jelly bellies from the boys, jeans and balloons from me, and a night out at Tucanos with our favorite friends who just happened to be in town for this special event.
Hope it was a wonderful day!

Of course we didn't get a picture with all of us but here are the girls who attended. :-)

Christmas Part 3

Again, thanks to the warm weather we were able to go out and have a bonfire.   We could only find old, stale marshmallows in Grandma's cupboards the boys didn't seem to mind.  It just took them forever to carve away at them.  We even tried roasting them but even that didn't soften them up. :-)

Traditional bowling for New Years.  Carter rolled it with two hands the first time but once he saw how the rest of us threw with just 1, he followed suit pretty quick.

Then a fun New Year's Eve party for the kids.  They played games and busted open the home-made pinata.

Any guesses on what this pinata is?  Not an elephant.  Not an anteater.  A tapier...look it up.

All the kids lined up to beat the pinata.

New Years celebration complete with horns, streamers, and silly string.  It was all fun and games until Carter got hit in the head with a silly string can.  Guess someone thought you threw it instead of spraying it.

Christmas Part 2

After the traditional sledding on Christmas Eve, we come home to pj's, home-made chili, and acting out the nativity.  Carter (playing Joseph) was so serious during the whole thing and Coop sang his first solo (Away in a Manger).

Christmas morning!

The boys both get 1 gift from Santa (aside from their stockings).  Carter asked for a pirate costume and Cooper asked for a big bag of candy.  Guess they were good boys this year.

Does it really surprise anyone that they got ski helmets for Christmas? ;-)

Later that day playing with their goods.

Helping Grandma with her new ipad. :-)

A couple days later we went ice skating with the fam.  Coop really liked pushing his bucket around while trying not to fall.  Carter preferred to just ride the bucket.

And once again, I'll have to finish later :-)
