Late 4th of July

I know it's late but hey, better late then never. So on our July 4th, we got together with the office and had a picnic at the park. We played baseball, football, soccer, frisbee and ended it with a rousing game of kickball. It turned out to be a pretty competitive game but we pulled through and won. Our poor feet were all red from kicking in barefeet but it brought back great elementary school memories. We bought over $100 worth of fireworks for that night but turns out we had a huge thunder/lightning storm and couldn't light a single one. Oh well! Happy 4th anyway!

Fun at the park. If you can't tell, Coop is a favorite in the office! He's so spoiled!

The NC Zoo

My parents came into town for a week and one of things we got to do was go to the North Carolina Zoo. It was such a great day for the zoo. It only got up to 84 degrees and it wasn't humid at all. I love when my parents come to town. It not only gives Cooper some new friends but we always have so much fun together!

So many cool animals!

Mini elephants just Cooper's size!

Coop sure does love his Grandparents!

Coop had a great time at the zoo but I have to admit, I think I loved it even more. Seeing those animals just amazes me. I could watch them all day.

Gundersen Family Reunion

Coop and I got to visit Sundance, Utah for my family reunion. You may notice that there are considerably less pictures for this family reunion. There are two reasons for this, #1 Caleb was not there to entertain Cooper so that I could take pictures & #2 There are 4 camera "specialists" in our family so the pictures are spread between us all. Acitvities at this reunion included; birthday party, pinata, murder mystery dinner, Cannon Rebel XTI camera class 101 (given by my Dad), Australian story & food, bug-walks, "kid-friendly" hike (if you're carrying them the whole 3 hours), photoshop sharing, Nintendo brain-age, seadoos on the lake, and much more! Unfortunately little Coop got pretty sick the last day complete with sores in his mouth and a high fever. Poor little guy had a rough time on the plane as well. Other than that, we had a ton of fun with the fam but we definitely missed Daddy!

Pope Family Reunion

And we're back! It has been a crazy July full of family reunions and parents visiting but we are glad to be getting back to normal. We started off the Pope Family reunion with a baptism. Kobe Pope turned 8 and was able to be baptized by Uncle Yosh while we were all in Durango, Colorado. He was then confirmed by 5 uncles and a Grandpa, talk about one lucky kid! The Pope grandkids also have a tradition of giving a towel to the next child to be baptized. Kobe's little sister Chloe is next in line so Kobes gave the towel to her. We were so lucky to be able to be there to support little Kobes in this great decision!

Some fun shots of the grandkids and family.

No Pope reunion is complete without a Grandkids Talent show. We had dancing, singing, somersaulting, rolling over, cartwheels and more. Bet you wish you could have been there to see it all!

We had a family picture taken, we went hiking, we went white water rafting, played some tennis, and spent lots of quality time together. What a super fun vacation!
