Our friends, the Sakrs invited us down to their house in Vegas for the weekend and it was a blast. Even though it was short, we took advantage of the hot weather and swam most of the time. It really was so fun! We have AWESOME friends!

I found this cool feature on my phone. I had way too much fun using it!

The adults escaped one of the nights to see Cirque du Solei "O" and walk the strip. Super fun!

There is something about taking your kids to see something for the first time. Something you know they are going to just LOVE! Something that you loved growing up and you just can't wait to share it with them. This was one of those times for me. Welcome to the circus!

Moab/New Mexico

It was time for Caleb to redeem his birthday present so we headed down to Moab to make that happen.

We are so glad he had a good time...and survived. :-)

We then continued down south to New Mexico to visit Great Grandma Alby and Grandma AJ. Its always a good time seeing the grandmas.

No Girls Allowed

Yep, keep thinking that buddy! All the way till you are 30!

It originally did not have the second line but when I questioned him about it he quickly change his mind. The convo went something like this:

Cooper: No girls allowed in my room Mom.

Mom: Really? So I can't come in?

Coop: Well, I guess you can.

Mom: And your cousin Ashlyn? She can't come in?

Coop: Well, ya, she can.

(And the kicker) Mom: And what about Claire?

That's when the mind worked real hard to come up with a viable solution.

And that's how the second line came to be.

Shenanigans

After many months of having a carpet in our driveway (thanks to pranking friends) we retaliated and set up a whole living room in theirs. I think it turned out pretty well.

Carter's first Haircut

I didn't want to cut his hair but when he was jumping on the trampoline and kept complaining about his hair getting in his eyes, I figured it was time. So I did it. I about cried on the first cut and about cried again after I was done and looked at the floor. But all is well, his hair is still as curly as ever.

For Caleb's oldest brother's 40th birthday, all the siblings and spouses surprised him in St. Louis for the weekend. We took a party bus tour of all the old stomping grounds of the Pope siblings. It was quite the weekend full of memories.
