Woke up to this outside.

Decided to make the best of it...

...and went sledding with the boys.

Watches & Redo

I saw these cute felt watches on a blog and decided the boys would love them so...I recreated them.  Wasn't too hard and I just think they are dang cute.  Boys need accessories too!

I've been working on decorating Coop's room and one of the things was redoing a dresser we received for free from a friend.  Sorry about the before picture, I had already taken out all the drawers before remembering to take the picture and I did not want to put them all back in just to take them all back out again.  So imagine the dresser a fake light tan wood with drawers and silver knobs.

 I spray painted it creme and then distressed the edges with distressing ink.  Then I put a couple coats of polycrilic on to seal it.  The knobs are from hobby lobby and I think they totally make the dresser!  I love how it turned out!

I love summer time projects.

Hiccups

The other night while on skype with Daddy Carter got the hiccups for the first time.  He was trying to sing "5 Little Monkeys" for us but kept getting distracted by the interrupting hiccups.  We thoroughly enjoyed watching it!

PS  At the end, did you like when he wanted to sing a song about Jesus so he started singing, "5 little Jesus' sitting in a tree, teasing mister alligator can't catch me..." I sure love this kid! 

Mud Monster

What is it with boys and mud?  Coop spent literally 2 hours pretending he was the mud monster.  He got filthy, caked in mud, and loved every second of it.  And really, so did I.  That's what kids do right?  Clothes can be washed, kids can take baths, and that is what a kid's life should be.  Full of fun, dirt, and imagination.  I'm grateful for days like this where I can watch Cooper enjoy being a care-free kid and feel myself let go a little.  It reminds me about what really matters.  Not material things, but the people and experiences we have that make our life happy.  

I will say that I did quite enjoy hosing him off after all this...

Today was a good day :-)

Thankful

This is mainly for Daddy to see because he wasn't there to witness the cuteness firsthand :-)

I was impressed with how many new ones they came up with because we had already been discussing this for probably 5 minutes beforehand without the video.
