All Done!

I have been working with Coop for a while now to raise both his arms above his head when he is "all done" after eating. First I would show it to him, then I would help him do it. Just yesterday, he decided he could do it all by himself.

Ski Bums

Caleb took Coop up for his first day of skiing. Coop sat comfortably in the front pack while Caleb did some easy green runs. My favorite part of it all was the cute ski goggles he got to wear. Coop didn't make a peep the whole time so I think he was trying to figure out what was going on altough we think he enjoyed it.

Ta-Da!

It took 4 long grueling days of work, 13 trips to Home Depot, 4 coats of spackle, 3 coats of paint, 1 trip to Bed, Bath, & Beyond & 2 great parents to finish this tiny yet, hugely messed up bathroom. As with every project, if something could go wrong it, it did. We thought it would take 2 days, it took 4. We spent most of one day finding out that the vanity we bought wouldn't work, returning it and the medicine cabinet only to discover there weren't any other types in that color so changing our whole plan that turned out just as good. Long story short, my Dad, Mom, & I had a fun time redoing the bathroom together. My Dad is the fix-all handy man; if it's broken, he can fix it, no matter what it is! And he wouldn't be able to do that without his beautiful assistant Vana White, I mean, my Mom, who finishes all the little odd jobs, and makes the project beautiful.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Coop wasn't quite sure at first, but as soon as he found out he could eat it, he was in love.

He ended up getting a brain freeze after this huge bite!

Picking the perfect one

I was thinking about Christmas trees. It's one of my favorite traditions and even though it's expensive, messy, and it's a pain to set up, I still refuse to get a fake one. It's too much fun to spend a night going to tree farms, all decked out in our winter gear, and find just the perfect fit for our family. Coop liked feeling the branches and eating the bright-colored ornaments although he didn't get to put any on since it was past his bedtime. He did enjoy the decorated tree the next morning though.

My new Excersaucer

My mom got Coop an excersaucer for Christmas and since we can't take it with us for those 2 weeks we are in Washington (it won't fit in the car) she let him open it early and enjoy it for the 2 weeks before. We both are very grateful!

We are the Champions!

As it was too cold (35 degrees) to take a picture outside after the Division 1 Championship Ultimate Game, we decided to take a picture of our new shirts in our nice warm house! It was a close game (11-8), but we pulled it off. Coop was there all warm & bundled cheering us on in his cute snow suit, but because we forgot our camera, we didn't get a picture. You'll just have to imagine!

Deck the Halls!

Cooper and I had fun "decking our halls" yesterday. It's so nice to finally be able to decorate now that Thanksgiving is over. We are looking forward to the First Christmas with our cute little guy!

Belly-belly

Just couldn't help but show these off. And take a look at that belly! He's putting on the holiday weight, I think he's aiming for Santa-look-alike!

I love digital cameras!

You may think this is a weird title for this collage of pictures, so let me explain. Normally, with a non-digital camera, I would only take 1-3 pictures so as not to use up the film, and hope that one of them would turn out. With digital, I can take billions of pictures and easily erase the bad ones. And then you have times (i.e. the pictures above) where you take billions of pictures and you don't have any to erase because your kid is so cute! So therefore, I love digital cameras ;-)

Simple, yet not

So for my brother's 27th birthday, my family had a little get together and I decided to make a cake. This cake, although simple-looking, took 4 hours to create. Have you ever tried to free-hand a soccer ball? It's nearly imposssible to get all the angles and sides perfect. Eventually I just had to get out my soccer ball and trace around the pentagons and hexagons and then transfer that to the cake. All a labor of love though!

And even after all that work, I still really like cake decorating! Amazing!
