Forever

I got to go to Utah this weekend (actually still here) to be a part of my neice being sealed to my brother and his family.  What a wonderful experience it was!

Wood

5 years celebrated with our own Japanese themed, sushi night.  We made it ourselves and actually thought it was pretty dang good.  It was an awesome night spent together.

The anniversary gift for 5 years is wood.
My gift to Caleb
(notice the wood chopsticks)

Caleb's gift to me.
(A super cool fruit bowl made of used chopsticks.)
Great minds think alike.

I love my hubby!
(I tried to dress like a geisha; hair in a bun, eyeliner extended, and the robe...I didn't just get out of the shower ;-)

Just Because...

He wanted to be a titan.  Look at those guns!

I never want to be accused of not taking as many pictures of my second child as my first :-)

We went to a cute cupcake place in downtown Renton.  They were good, but nothing I couldn't make myself.    But I do want to go back to try their hot chocolate sometime soon.

The Farm

It was another wonderful Wenatchee weekend!
We were invited over to my sister-in-law's parent's house for Father's Day dinner.  Her family owns dogs, chickens, horses, and a ton of cherry orchards so we called it the farm when we told the boys where we were going.  What a blast it was to just walk around the trees and enjoy the beautiful day and all the fun animals.
I LOVED shooting in all the greens!

Seems only appropriate to start with a picture of my father on Father's Day.
I love how much he loves my kids!  What a wonderful Dad and Papa he is!

Someone had heard that if you stick a chickens beak in the ground and draw a line straight out from it, the chicken would stay completely still because he was mesmerized by the straight line.  So of course we had to try it.  And guess what, its true!  Craziness!

Insert family picture here!  BEAUTIFUL!

Oh, how I loved watching Coop run freely and play with all his surroundings!

1 more week and its officially cherry season.  Bring on the cherries!

Caleb learned a new trick.  Stick an apple on the end of a bendy stick and you can really fling it far!  My dad said as a kid, they would have wars with just sticks and apples.
These things would definitely leave a welt!

And of course, you can't forget the 4 wheeler!  First time ever riding it...

...for both of us!  It was really fun!

Almost makes me want to live on a farm...
...almost! :-)

Daddy's Day!

Happy Daddy's day to the best Daddy these boys could ever ask for!  This is Carter's excited face :-)  Guess he was excited about getting Avatar too!

My brother and his cute wife.  She did this "super" cute father's day idea for him.

I love these 2 pictures.  See Carter's face in the first one, then just look at how everything is ok when Daddy gives him a kiss.  Just makes my heart melt!
I love him!

St Louis

Two weekends ago, we headed out to St Louis on a weekend getaway, just the two of us.  It was Caleb's 10 year high school reunion and we were lucky enough to have my parents come and stay with the boys.  I was awful at taking pictures (weird, I know) but here are just a few.  We arrived there Saturday afternoon and headed straight from the airport to a Cardinals baseball game where, thanks to Caleb's sister-in-law, we had amazing seats and free food.  I'll be a baseball fan any day if I get that treatment!  We then headed to Caleb's high school reunion where he spent a good 4 hours talking to old friends (I call him my little social butterfly :-) while I spent it talking with a great friend from Utah (Caleb's best friend's wife, what a lifesaver!)  Once things started getting a little crazy (after 4 hours of open bar, its bound to) we headed out to Ted Drewe's for some awesome frozen custard and then talked it up with our good friends Teddy and Scott.  It was a great kid-free weekend and so nice to visit with Caleb's brother and family.

My parents sent us some pictures while we were gone.  It may have only been 2 days away from the boys but I sure LOVED seeing these pictures while in St. Louis

Firemen coming through

We hit up the children's museum this past week.  We will never be going again.  Don't get me wrong, the boys had tons of fun, just not $30 worth, which is how much it cost me to get in there.  Call me cheap but I can go to the mall's play place for free and the boys have fun there too.  Anyhow, it was cute to see the boys playing.  judging by how much time we spent in the "real-life" store, I think it was their favorite.
