A Weekend of Many

The thing we were most excited about this summer was our close proximity to my parent's house in Wenatchee (2.5 hours).  This last weekend was the first (of many I'm sure) to visit and it was gorgeous!  We spent a majority of the time just enjoying each other in the beautiful weather. There was also a rousing game of horse shoes, face painting, playing with bubbles, some hula hooping, & a photoshoot stuck in there too.  It was truly a wonderfully, relaxing weekend.

...to Seattle.

Seemed like a good picture to appropriately describe the weather here.  It has rained or looked like rain every day but one in the last week.  We hear that summers here are quite enjoyable though so we are looking forward to that anxiously.  

Things I have learned about Seattle: (in the week we've been here)

Everything is green and wet.

The streets and loopy loop on ramps are super confusing. (Shout out to navigation)

I need an umbrella

You have to use the freeway to get anywhere.

Traffic hours are 12am-12pm and 12pm-12am.

I need to learn to drive more aggressively.

I'm not a big city girl.

I'm sure I will be learning much more throughout the next 6 months and it will be quite the adventure. 

 I'm looking forward to it!

Hoppy Easter

Date Night

...with this handsome fella!  

Yep that's right, me & Coop headed out for some one on one time while Daddy gratefully stayed home with little Tarter.  We went to Coop's cousin Ashlyn's dance recital together and not only did I love it, but Coop had his eyes glued to that stage for all 32 dances (the thing was near 3 hours long).  He couldn't get enough of those little girls dancing.  After every dance he would look at me, smile, and say "Here comes another one!".  I kept asking him if he wanted to leave but he would insist that he wanted to stay and watch more.  In the middle of one dance (featuring 3 year old girls just his age) he said to me, "Mommy, those are cute little girls!"   I think we are gonna be in trouble. :-)  

I loved spending time with my little guy.  Its fun to be able to focus just on him for a change and I loved that he was so intrigued the whole time we were there.  Not sure how long that's going to last. ;-)

Funny

Not even sure what was so funny but boy was he one happy, naked little guy!

Wedding Reception

So we were on our way to a wedding reception when I noticed how good we were all looking ;-) so I whipped out the camera and got a few shots.  Luckily Caleb's parents were there to help with the family shot.

Future Employees of Home Depot

The first Saturday of every month Home Depot has a kids club.  Coop can go get a free apron and build a small project for free.  He absolutely loves it!  Can you tell we've gone 3 times and each time forgotten to bring the apron we already had?  

Only in Utah

Only in Utah could we have a nice, warm day at the park...

...and then only a couple days later have a nice, cold day on the mountain.

Kinda nice to have all those options :-)
