Hawaii- Adults Only

Elder & Sister Gundersen served their mission in Russia for 18 months. After surviving -30 degree temperatures, they needed a place to thaw out. They asked all of their kids and significant others to meet them in Hawaii.
BEST IDEA EVER!
It was supposed to be a surprise (us arriving early at the airport when they thought we wouldn't be there) but by a small slip up they found out. Even so, they were so overcome with emotion seeing all their kids there at once, we still got a great reaction.

Pure awesomeness!
This was the main common room, all open air. In the foreground is the seating/eating area. All the way in the back is the kitchen and tv sitting area. Bedrooms were to the sides. Behind me is the pool...

While walking to another waterfall, we saw this jungle. The boys had to climb it.
Dinner Night
This place had the BEST Hula Pie (ice cream cake) I have ever had. I don't even like ice cream but this was amazing!
One of the days we went whale watching. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I don't think I ever want to go again because I'm pretty sure it would never beat this experience. A Mom whale and a baby whale came within feet of our boat and flipped their tails out of the water 8 or 9 times. They were so close I got splashed. First the Mom would do it then the baby would copy. It was quite cute.

I LOVE the water! We had so much fun playing in the waves and snorkeling.
We have a picture just like this from when I was probably 6. I was on top of my brother Broc's shoulders, and he was on top of my brother Tyler's. We tried to recreate it...we needed a little help (thanks Caleb and Josh) and we still only got Tyler's head just barely out of the water. I wish I had that old picture to compare!

Then my brother decided to climb back up the wall instead of taking the side route and made it no problem..he's so cool!

The trip looks like it was so fun! Your parents are as cute as ever. Great to see the whole family!
Graham's parents are taking us to Hawaii in July and I am SO excited!
