Date nights here in Seattle have become somewhat of a joke. Since Caleb doesn't get home until 10:00pm, they are cut very short by the fact that nothing in Renton is open past 9:00pm. Yes we can always go to dinner but we have become much to cheap for that (dollar menu at Taco Bell is much more appealing). So we try and find free things to do at 10:00 on cold Friday nights and this is one of the things we came up with; going to see the Seattle skyline. Because it is freezing cold outside that late at night, we spend the entire time in the car but we hope that as the summer days get warmer, the summer nights will be nice for a walk along the beach with the Seattle skyline as our view.

I love that you make date night happen even if you have to get creative. We have occasionally resorted to picnics on the living room floor and "going to concerts" (by watching them on KBYU) - Oh, and if you still need crafty ideas for Cooper - I've found a little play-doh and a little finger paint go a long way.
You two are so dang cute. And those skyline photos are gorgeous! I've always wanted to visit Seattle. What a bummer that Caleb doesn't get home until so late every night, but good for you guys for still making special time!
