My parents officially left for Russia today. To be specific Novosibirsk, which happens to be the capital of Siberia. We are so excited for them but will also miss them dearly for the next 18 months.
Here they are.
My mom is pointing to their hometown of Wenatchee, WA and my dad is pointing to their mission of Novosibirsk. It will take them about 27 hours to get there.
Yesterday was our last day together. We spent it enjoying the summer air and chatting while the kids played. It was quite perfect.
My little model here. She's so beautiful, even when she is sad.
Every time I look at this picture I tear up. Couldn't ask for a better Mom and Grandma!
Crazy how much these kids will grow while they are gone.

We said our goodbyes.
And now we count the days till they get back. Those Novosibirsk-ians are some lucky people!

We will miss you mom and dad! But we know you will be doing wonderful things! Wish we could have been there to send you off!!! Love you all. Thanks for the update Cassi!

Cassi, I love all of your posts. I am so happy for you to have your parents going on a mission, what a great opportunity and blessing. BUT I am so sad too because that is a long time and I know they are such great parents and grandparents who are involved in your life :(. The pic of you and your mom made me start to tear up!
What great pictures!!! I started to tear up looking at them too! They are such wonderful people!
So fun. I can't remember if this is their first mission or not. My parents are on #3. They'll be back before you know it. It's fun to skype with them too. And when they come home you appreciate them and all they do so much more. Hopefully they don't leave again 6 months after they get home like my parents keep doing. ;-)
