Christmas (part 1)

The Christmas post is always so daunting to me when I get home from the holidays.  I take so many pictures that to pick just a few to capture our whole 2 1/2 weeks with my parents is nearly impossible.  But I will do my best.  Just know, as a photographer, I can never just pick a few.

Our Christmas vacation started out with the normal things; outings to the park, playing catch with the football, and eating thanksgiving dinner...wait, what?  That's not how it is supposed to go but given the warmer weather and lack of snow (also happening in Washington) this is how it started.

Why another Thanksgiving dinner you ask?  Oh, just because my sweet husband knew how disappointed I was when I was out sick with food poisoning for the original Thanksgiving so he sneakily arranged for another complete Thanksgiving with my parents shortly after arriving there.  Isn't that just the sweetest thing? All just for me?!  Its definitely up there on the top 10 sweetest things my husband has ever done for me.

Now onto some Christmasy activities.  We were able to find just a little snow up the canyon a bit and had a fun time sledding for our traditional Christmas Eve.  I included a little video of all the fun sledding but the photographer in me couldn't exclude the pictures either.  There is just something about capturing the still looks of sheer joy while sledding.   Priceless!  (so you get both :-)

And...it was obviously time to go.

And...I'm tired so I will continue this post another day.  I think there were plenty enough pictures to tide you over.
