We made it

x
...to Seattle.

Seemed like a good picture to appropriately describe the weather here.  It has rained or looked like rain every day but one in the last week.  We hear that summers here are quite enjoyable though so we are looking forward to that anxiously.

Things I have learned about Seattle: (in the week we've been here)
Everything is green and wet.
The streets and loopy loop on ramps are super confusing. (Shout out to navigation)
I need an umbrella
You have to use the freeway to get anywhere.
Traffic hours are 12am-12pm and 12pm-12am.
I need to learn to drive more aggressively.
I'm not a big city girl.

I'm sure I will be learning much more throughout the next 6 months and it will be quite the adventure.
 I'm looking forward to it!

I didn't know you were already here! We need your address and phone number. I think Matt will be up that way in the next couple of weeks. We need to plan some get togethers! I know it is rainy now, but you will love the summers!!! Can't wait to see you! :)

I didn't know you were moving. How great. Change is usually a growing experience. Just a warning, Seattle is lots like Portland...hot summers and NO a/c. That is so dumb, but I hope your place has it. How fun to be close to home. Is this permanent? And you will get used to the traffic. I went to school downtown Portland and the parking was worse than the traffic. Maybe. Good luck!

Do you think you could take this exact shot of Sophie!???? I'm making a book for her called 'When I was a baby, I lived in Seattle" with all of her pictures. It would be the perfect COVER!
